This year’s event took place under perfect weather conditions—warm temperatures and blue skies—at our range in Mispec, overlooking the beautiful Bay of Fundy near Saint John, New Brunswick. We were thrilled to see our largest turnout in years, with participants ranging in age from 10 to 18 years old—the future generation of our sport.

The youth participants had the opportunity to safely handle and fire small arms and shotguns, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation for shooting sports. It was wonderful to see a mix of returning participants and many new faces.

After a fun day on the range, everyone enjoyed a barbecue lunch featuring hot dogs and hamburgers, and we concluded the day with an award ceremony. 

The highlight of the day was the draw for a Ruger 10/22 rifle, generously donated by the club—one lucky young shooter went home with a very big smile!

Les jeunes participants ont eu l'occasion de manipuler et de tirer en toute sécurité avec des armes légères et des fusils de chasse, acquérant ainsi une expérience pratique et une meilleure appréciation des sports de tir. C'était merveilleux de voir un mélange de participants habitués et de nombreux nouveaux visages.

Après une journée divertissante au stand de tir, tout le monde a pu profiter d'un barbecue composé de hot-dogs et de hamburgers, et nous avons conclu la journée par une cérémonie de remise des prix. 

Le clou de la journée a été le tirage au sort d'un fusil Ruger 10/22, généreusement offert par le club. Un jeune tireur chanceux est rentré chez lui avec un grand sourire !

Cet événement reste l'un des plus gratifiants de notre calendrier annuel, et nous sommes fiers de contribuer à susciter la passion pour les sports de tir chez les jeunes du Nouveau-Brunswick. Chez Fundy Shooting Sports, nous sommes convaincus que les jeunes sont l'avenir de notre sport et qu'ils jouent un rôle essentiel dans la perpétuation d'une tradition de tir sûr, responsable et agréable.

Nous apprécions grandement le soutien que l'ARTCNB a apporté aux événements jeunesse passés. Merci pour votre temps et votre soutien continu aux sports de tir au Nouveau-Brunswick.

The RNBRA Nominating Committee hereby calls for nominations for the following positions to stand for election at our next AGM to be held Fall 2025:

•     President
•     1st Vice President
•     2nd Vice President
•     Three (3) Directors-at-Large
•     Honorary Life Members (if any)

For the officer positions, we will accept nominations signed by two regular RNBRA members in good standing. (See By-Laws Article 11.1.3 for details). A biographic sketch of each nominee and a statement of the nominee’s willingness to serve if elected shall be provided with each nomination. It is the responsibility of the nominator and the seconder to provide this required information.

Le comité de nomination de l’ARTCNB lance par la présente un appel à candidatures pour les postes suivants afin de se présenter aux élections lors de notre prochaine assemblée générale annuelle qui se tiendra à l'automne 2025:

• Président

• 2e vice-président
• Trois (3) administrateurs généraux
• Membres honoraires à vie (le cas échéant)

Pour les postes de dirigeants, nous accepterons les candidatures signées par deux membres réguliers et en règle de l’ARTCNB. (Voir Règlements-Administratifs Article 11.1.3). Une biographie succincte de chaque candidat et une déclaration de sa volonté de servir s'il est élu doivent accompagner chaque candidature. Il incombe au proposant et à son second de fournir ces informations.

The RNBRA Awards Committee is accepting candidates for the following awards.
 
The Andy Gunter Meritorious Award
Andy Gunter was an industrial arts teacher in Saint John who worked with the RNBRA for many years. This award may be presented to any current or past member of the RNBRA. The criteria for the award shall be as the name suggests: for exceptional service to the Association in the furtherance of the Association. A person’s ability to shoot shall not necessarily be a factor. The award is designed for an individual but if the Committee feels it should be presented to a team or group from time to time, this will be permissible. The Committee also has the right not to make an award if it sees fit, but should call for nominations to be considered.
 
The M. Ellen MacGillivray Award
(Fullbore Only)
A nominee, to be considered eligible, will embody the spirit of Ellen MacGillivray's contributions to Fullbore shooting over a long period of time and must meet the following:

• be an active member of the Fullbore Section of the RNBRA
• have been a fullbore and/or precision shooter and competitor during his or her lifetime,
• have served the Fullbore shooting community in a mentoring, coaching or shooter development capacity during his or her lifetime, or
• have been active in some organizational capacity on a local or provincial level, or
• demonstrate other significant contributions to Fullbore Shooting, the governance of Fullbore Shooting, the development of shooting as a sport, the development of scientific/technological advances in shooting, the development of local ranges/clubs or any other contribution of note to shooting in New Brunswick.

Le Prix du Mérite Andy Gunter
Andy Gunter était professeur d'arts industriels à Saint John et a collaboré avec l’ARTCNB pendant de nombreuses années. Ce prix peut être décerné à tout membre actuel ou ancien de l’ARTCNB. Les critères d'attribution sont, comme son nom l'indique, pour services exceptionnels rendus à l'Association et à son développement. L'aptitude au tir n'est pas nécessairement un critère. Ce prix est destiné à une personne, mais si le comité estime qu'il doit être décerné à une équipe ou à un groupe de façon ponctuelle, cela sera autorisé. Le comité se réserve également le droit de ne pas décerner de prix s'il le juge opportun, mais il devrait lancer un appel à candidatures.
 
Le Prix M. Ellen MacGillivray
(Fullbore uniquement)
Pour être admissible, un candidat doit incarner l'esprit des contributions d'Ellen MacGillivray au tir à canon plein sur une longue période et doit répondre aux critères suivants :

• être un membre actif de la section Fullbore de l’ARTCNB
  
• avoir été un tireur de gros calibre et/ou de précision et un compétiteur au cours de sa vie,
• avoir servi la communauté des tireurs Fullbore en tant que mentor, entraîneur ou formateur de tireurs au cours de sa vie, où
• avoir été actif dans une certaine capacité organisationnelle au niveau local ou provincial, où
• démontrer d’autres contributions importantes au tir à gros calibre, à la gouvernance du tir à gros calibre, au développement du tir en tant que sport, au développement des avancées scientifiques et technologiques dans le tir, au développement des champs de tir et des clubs locaux ou à toute autre contribution notable au tir au Nouveau-Brunswick.
